Hi all, I bought a little Samsung SC-MX20 at Walmart as the price was cheap $199. (plus the cost of the SD HC card as it has no memory) I thought I could use it as a web cam too (it was advertised as such).NOT! The camera worked great, but the I dis…

Ya know, the flip one with the tiny tripod (which I already have, unlss it has to be a specific one) sounds like it would work great. I really don't NEED a super duper fancy one. Hmmm now ya got me thinkin'

The Flip was less than $150, digital camcorder. I think they're on sale now for around $100.... they fit in your shirt pocket... have a pop out USB port, no wires unless you want to hook it up to the TV.

I'm using a Flip, the cheap one, but they also make one that shoots HD. It's tiny, has an hour of memory, good sound. I love the thing. Very simple to operate. I have a ton of videos on You Tube, and I think 2 on here I shot with it.... I'm with you…

Thank you, sweetie pie! I'm glad that you like Tim. I actually had a Name the Frog Contest on YouTube at one point and had hundreds and hundreds of entries for him. The Tim Somnia was the PERFECT name for him.

Shellrosecreations was actually the gal that came up with that name for him. She's here in the group. I had a whole list of names to choose from, it was so much fun! I'd like to have another contest like that this year, if time allows. I've been running as fast as I can and I'm still behind.

Have a fabulous weekend, ducks!

Yes, OMG does mean that I like the photo. I just picked one photo at random, because I love all of them. Stunning.

Some years ago I wanted to do a Sky Series, also using a camera. I had been driving thru Utah one day and stopped in the middle of nowhere at a gas station. I was there for one hour only and the sky changed due to a storm, and quickly returned to sunshine.

It gave me chills all over when I viewed my photographs later. The mtn. ranges in the distance, the rainbow in the sky, the CLOUDS....whoa, it was intense.

I've often considered painting a sky series. Down here you can go out on the beach, esp at sunrise and sunset, and see the most remarkable configurations imagineable. One photographer down here ONLY photos lightning (since we have so much of it) and he sells those images like mad.

We live on a beautiful planet, eh?

A Caribbean Holiday Celebration!

A Caribbean Celebration

Some of my friends in Administration have recently asked me to tell them how
we celebrate the holidays in my country, Puerto Rico.

I’m sure it would seem simple to just say: “Well, we put up a tree, sing songs around it, eat lots and lots of food made by our moms and aunts and grannies and have gifts under the tree for the little ones. And that would be true, we do all that because that is part of all the good and sometimes bad stuff we have inherited fro… Continue
