Meet The Artist:

Desiree has been creating one of a kind art for over 30 years. She has worked with various mediums: oil, acrylic, watercolors, pencils, on various surfaces, canvas, hardboard, walls, wood, rocks and plaster.

Desiree believes that art is for everyone! And anyone can create art! She cherishes all forms of art that carries a feeling of warmth, comfort, delight, whimsical, depth, vision, insightfulness, and intuitiveness.

Her creations touch each one of these areas by introspectiveness! “I started out painting with oils. I would paint mostly landscapes and portraits of jazz players. Oils are still my comfort zone. My newest technique is actually an old technique that was used around the Renaissance period. Using oils you paint tonal first without using color and once you complete the tone you paint the colors. This is also called “Layering.” I like this technique; it’s very visual.”

Although, Desiree does not produce hundreds of pieces each year, she works everyday with her Art!
