Louise, I hope that one day you will have a video for us of how you create your lovely paintings!
Louise Duvee Comment by Louise Duvee on October 3, 2009 at 4:38am
Nail polish is the most versatile medium one could wish for. As the layers build up, the canvas becomes saturated with paint, almost like a liquid gel. Most of the finished paintings are luminous and resemble stained glass. Others are intricately carved or bas relief. I often mix finely ground glass, opals, sand or pearls into the paint. They're quite tough, meant to be touched, and you can wash them if they get dirty. Each takes about a year to finish. In all this time, I've never met anyone else who is doing this. As far as I know, my techniques are my own: I've been doing this for 18 years now.

Hello Maybe! If a class is managed by one person, which they are, then that person has to approved your request to join that group. I think I was finally approved after a few days, so I would just be patient. If the person in charge of the group doesn't respond within a week then you might want to let Deb know.

Thank you so much for a group like this one, it's right up my alley, no money and eager to learn.

The wardrobe changes had me laughing. Petunia is quite the clothes-horse... Or is that a clothes-HOG???

A Caribbean Holiday Celebration!

A Caribbean Celebration

Some of my friends in Administration have recently asked me to tell them how
we celebrate the holidays in my country, Puerto Rico.

I’m sure it would seem simple to just say: “Well, we put up a tree, sing songs around it, eat lots and lots of food made by our moms and aunts and grannies and have gifts under the tree for the little ones. And that would be true, we do all that because that is part of all the good and sometimes bad stuff we have inherited fro… Continue
